Mujawarah for Life and Development – UK carried out a field training for the Bait Al-Mustaqbal Association in Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, focusing on the “My Family and I” Guide as part of the Mujawarah and School for Reviving Learning in Gaza project.

The training targeted members of the association working in education and community support, aiming to familiarise them with the guide’s content and its practical use in accompanying families and children during post-war recovery.

Participants were introduced to the six main sessions outlined in the guide: Restoring Hope, Self-Care, Expressing Emotions, Learning at Home, Family Cooperation, and Continuity of Life after Crises.

Through interactive exercises, the team practised adapting these sessions to the needs of local families and implementing them within community spaces.

According to Mujawarah’s facilitators, the training aimed to build the capacities of local organisations to integrate educational and human approaches that promote learning within the home and strengthen family cohesion. It also supports the wider Mujawarah approach, which connects education, care, and shared community life.

A participant from Bait Al-Mustaqbal Association noted that the training “provided a practical way to engage with families, helping us design sessions that combine learning with emotional and social support.”

The “My Family and I” Guide, published in 2025 by Mujawarah for Life and Development – UK, serves as a pedagogical and human-centred tool designed to assist families in rebuilding their daily lives through simple, applicable activities within homes or community centres.

This training in Al-Mawasi – Khan Younis is part of a wider series implemented by Mujawarah in partnership with local initiatives across Gaza, aiming to strengthen community-based education and support family wellbeing in different areas of the Strip.

استهدف التدريب العاملين في الجمعية ممن يقدّمون خدمات تربوية ومجتمعية، بهدف تعريفهم بمضامين الدليل وكيفية توظيفه في مرافقة العائلات والأطفال خلال مرحلة ما بعد الحرب

تضمّن التدريب عرضًا تفصيليًا لمحتوى الجلسات الست التي يعتمد عليها الدليل، وتشمل: استعادة الأمل، رعاية الذات، التعبير عن المشاعر، التعلم في المنزل، التعاون داخل الأسرة، واستمرارية الحياة بعد الأزمات

ونفّذ المشاركون أنشطة عملية تحاكي هذه الجلسات، وتساعد في نقلها إلى الميدان بطريقة مبسطة تتناسب مع احتياجات الأسر المحلية

أوضح فريق مجاورة أن التدريب يهدف إلى بناء قدرات الجمعيات المجتمعية في استخدام أدوات تربوية وإنسانية تدعم التعلّم داخل البيت وتعزّز التماسك الأسري. كما يسعى إلى نشر نهج المجاورة الذي يجمع بين التعليم والرعاية والعمل المشترك مع المجتمع

من جانبها، ذكرت إحدى المشاركات من جمعية بيت المستقبل أن التدريب أعطانا أسلوباً عملياً للتعامل مع العائلات بطرق تفاعلية، وشجّعنا على تنفيذ جلسات تجمع بين التعليم والدعم النفسي والاجتماعي في آن واحد

ويُعد دليل “أنا وعائلتي“ من إصدارات مؤسسة مجاورة للحياة والتنمية – بريطانيا (2025)، وهو دليل تربوي وإنساني مصمم لدعم العائلات في البيئات المتأثرة بالأزمات، عبر جلسات قابلة للتطبيق داخل المنازل والمراكز المجتمعية

ويأتي تنفيذ التدريب في المواصي – خان يونس ضمن سلسلة تدريبات تنفذها مؤسسة مجاورة بالتعاون مع مؤسسات محلية في غزة، لتمكين المبادرات التعليمية والمجتمعية من تعزيز بيئات التعلّم والرفاه الأسري في مختلف المناطق
