Gaza – Mujawarah for Life and Development Launches Training for UCAS Team on the “My Family and I” Guide to Support Post-war Educational and Family Recovery

Gaza – Mujawarah for Life and Development – UK, in cooperation with the University College of Applied Sciences (UCAS), has launched a new training programme for a team of facilitators and community educators, centred on the “My Family and I” Guide. The initiative forms part of joint efforts to support educational and human recovery in Gaza following the recent war.

The training aims to equip facilitators working with families and community-based initiatives with practical and human-centred approaches that help restore the natural rhythm of daily life, strengthen family roles, and rebuild a sense of safety and connection—particularly for families experiencing displacement and prolonged exhaustion.

The programme included hands-on sessions drawn directly from the “My Family and I” Guide, featuring activities designed to rebuild family bonds, support emotional expression, and reopen channels of daily dialogue within homes and temporary shelters. Participants also explored simple breathing and grounding practices that promote calm and self-care, as well as methods for transforming tents, temporary classrooms, or small corners of homes into living learning spaces that foster stability and belonging for children.

Mujawarah emphasised that the guide is built on a philosophy which views education not as a curriculum alone, but as a human encounter rooted in proximity, listening, and shared participation—where hope can begin to take shape again within families.

Published in 2025 by Mujawarah for Life and Development – UK, the “My Family and I” Guide offers an approach that interweaves education, healing, and family life, encouraging a re-imagining of home and school as spaces for daily living, connection, and mutual support.

غزة – مجاورة للحياة والتنمية تطلق تدريباً لفريق من الكلية الجامعية للعلوم التطبيقية حول دليل “أنا وعائلتي” لدعم التعافي الأسري والتعلّم بعد الحرب

غزة – أطلقت مؤسسة مجاورة للحياة والتنمية – بريطانيا، وبالتعاون مع الكلية الجامعية للعلوم التطبيقية (يوكاس)، تدريباً تربوياً لفريق من العاملين مع العائلات والمبادرات التعليمية، مرتكزاً على دليل “أنا وعائلتي”، وذلك ضمن الجهود المشتركة لدعم التعافي التعليمي والإنساني في قطاع غزة بعد الحرب.

ويهدف التدريب إلى تمكين المرشدين والميسّرين من استخدام مقاربات عملية وإنسانية تساعد العائلات على استعادة الإيقاع الطبيعي للحياة اليومية، وتعزيز دور الأسرة كمكانٍ للتعلّم والرعاية وبناء الأمان، حتى في ظل النزوح وفقدان المساكن.

وشمل التدريب جلسات تطبيقية مستمدة من دليل “أنا وعائلتي”، تضمنت أنشطة لإعادة بناء الروابط الأسرية، ومعالجة التعب والمشاعر المتراكمة، وتفعيل الحوار اليومي داخل البيوت والمخيمات، إلى جانب تمارين للتنفس والراحة تعزز الوعي بالجسد والذات. كما تمّ بحث كيفية تحويل البيوت أو الخيام أو الصفوف المؤقتة إلى مساحات تعلّم حيّة تمنح الأطفال شعوراً بالانتماء والاستقرار.

وأكدت مؤسسة مجاورة أن الدليل يرتكز على فلسفة ترى أن التعليم لا يُبنى على المنهاج وحده، بل على القرب والإنصات والمشاركة الإنسانية، وأن اللقاء البسيط داخل العائلة يمكن أن يشكل بداية لإحياء الأمل واستعادة القدرة على التعلّم.

ويُعدّ إصدار دليل “أنا وعائلتي” (2025) خطوة تربوية نوعية تربط بين التعليم والشفاء والحياة اليومية، وتدعو إلى إعادة تخيّل البيت والمدرسة كمساحات للتعلّم والتواصل.
