In Deir al-Balah: Mujawarah for Life and Development – UK launches training for Al-Furat Educational Tent team on the “My Family and I” Guide

Gaza/ Deir al-Balah – Mujawarah for Life and Development – UK has launched a new training for the Al-Furat Educational Tent Initiative in Deir al-Balah, centred around the “My Family and I” Guide, as part of the Mujawarah and School for Reviving Learning in Gaza programme.
The initiative aims to support educators and community-based learning groups in rebuilding educational and human life after the war.

The training provided a reflective and practical space that enabled participants to explore tools for restoring the human rhythm of daily life and reactivating the family’s role as a place for learning, care, and cooperation.

Rooted in the philosophy of Mujawarah, the “My Family and I” Guide views education not merely as a curriculum, but as a shared human encounter built on proximity, listening, and participation—where hope can begin to grow.

The sessions included hands-on activities focused on family accompaniment, emotional expression, and rebuilding family connections through dialogue and simple daily practices within homes and community spaces.

Participants also discussed how tents or temporary classrooms could be transformed into living learning spaces that restore a sense of safety and belonging.

One of the facilitators at Al-Furat Educational Tent said that the guide “helped us see education as a human journey rather than a formal plan,” adding that the sessions “gave the team a practical and humane language that helps build bridges of trust with families.”

Published in 2025 by Mujawarah for Life and Development – UK, the “My Family and I” Guide offers a pedagogical and human-centred approach that interweaves education, healing, and family life, encouraging a re-imagining of the school as a space for daily living rather than merely formal instruction.

This training in Deir al-Balah marks a new step in expanding circles of educational Mujawarah across Gaza, reaffirming the belief that, despite all circumstances, the family remains the heart of learning and the source of renewed hope.

أطلقت مؤسسة مجاورة للحياة والتنمية – بريطانيا تدريباً جديداً لفريق مبادرة خيمة الفرات التعليمية في مدينة دير البلح، حول دليل “أنا وعائلتي“، ضمن مسار مجاورة ومدرسة لإحياء التعليم في غزة، الذي يسعى إلى مرافقة المعلمين والمبادرات المجتمعية في إعادة بناء الحياة التعليمية والإنسانية بعد الحرب

يأتي التدريب كمساحة لقاء وتفكّر، تتيح للمبادرات التعليمية اكتشاف أدوات عملية تُسهم في استعادة الإيقاع الإنساني للحياة اليومية، وتفعيل دور العائلة كمكان للتعلّم والرعاية والتعاون

ويستند دليل “أنا وعائلتي“ إلى فلسفة المجاورة التي ترى أن التعليم لا يُبنى بالمنهاج وحده، بل بالقرب والإنصات والمشاركة، وأن اللقاء البسيط بين الناس يمكن أن يكون بدايةً لاستعادة الأمل

تضمّن التدريب جلسات تطبيقية حول المرافقة العائلية، والتعبير عن المشاعر، واستعادة الروابط الأسرية من خلال الحوار والأنشطة اليومية داخل البيوت والمخيمات. كما ناقش المشاركون كيف يمكن تحويل الخيمة أو الصف المؤقت إلى مساحة تعلم حيّة تُعيد الإحساس بالأمان والانتماء

وقالت إحدى الميسّرات في خيمة الفرات التعليمية إن هذا الدليل “جعلنا نرى التعليم كرحلة إنسانية، لا كخطة دراسية”, مضيفةً أن الجلسات “منحت الفريق لغة عملية وإنسانية في الوقت نفسه، تساعد على بناء جسور الثقة مع العائلات”

ويُعتبر دليل “أنا وعائلتي“ من إصدارات مؤسسة مجاورة للحياة والتنمية – بريطانيا (2025)، وهو ثمرة عمل تربوي يربط بين العائلة والتعليم والشفاء، ويدعو إلى إعادة تخيّل المدرسة كمساحة للحياة اليومية لا كمكانٍ للدروس فحسب

ويشكّل هذا التدريب في دير البلح خطوة جديدة ضمن سلسلة مبادرات تعمل على توسيع دوائر المجاورة التعليمية في غزة، وتثبيت قناعة أن العائلة، مهما كانت ظروفها، تظل نواة التعلّم ومكاناً يولد فيه الأمل من جديد
