Launch of Introductory Sessions for the Community Initiatives Coordinators and Facilitators Training Programme

Mujawarah for Life and Development has launched the introductory sessions for its Community Initiatives and Projects Coordinators and Facilitators Training Programme, with the participation of a group of young people interested in community work. The sessions were organised across three groups, aligned with Mujawarah’s different programme streams.

These sessions provided an initial space for participants to connect, exchange expectations, and become familiar with Mujawarah’s approach, which is rooted in learning through practice and collaborative engagement with communities.

During the sessions, Maree Bashir, Founder and Director of Mujawarah, delivered an overview of the learning programme, outlining its pathways and content. He highlighted the organisation’s approach to experiential learning and working alongside communities, as well as the programme’s overall structure and practical tracks.

For her part, Shaimaa Abu Qamar, Lifelong Learning Programme Manager at Mujawarah, noted that the programme’s main objective is to equip participants with the skills needed to design and manage community initiatives. She emphasised its focus on turning ideas into actionable projects and strengthening young people’s ability to create meaningful and sustainable community impact.

The programme offers a practice-based learning experience over several months, enabling participants to develop and implement community initiatives within a supportive and interactive learning environment that combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience.

انطلقت اللقاءات التعريفية لبرنامج تدريب منسقي وميسري المبادرات والمشاريع المجتمعية، الذي تنفذه مؤسسة مجاورة للحياة والتنمية، بمشاركة مجموعة من الشباب المهتمين بالعمل المجتمعي، حيث توزعت اللقاءات على ثلاث مجموعات وفق مسارات البرامج المختلفة في مجاورة

وشكّلت هذه اللقاءات مساحة أولى للتعارف وتبادل التوقعات بين المشاركين، إلى جانب التعرف على نهج مجاورة القائم على التعلم بالممارسة والعمل التشاركي، في إطار تجربة تسعى إلى تعزيز التعلم العملي والعمل مع المجتمع

وخلال اللقاءات، قدّم مرعي بشير، مؤسس ومدير مجاورة، عرضًا حول برنامج التعلم، مستعرضًا مساراته ومضامينه. وركّز على نهج التعلم بالممارسة والعمل التشاركي مع المجتمع، إلى جانب الإطار العام للتجربة ومساراتها التطبيقية

من جانبها، أشارت شيماء أبو قمر، مديرة برنامج التعلم مدى الحياة في مجاورة، إلى أن الهدف الرئيسي للبرنامج يتمثل في تمكين المشاركين من تطوير مهارات تصميم وإدارة المبادرات المجتمعية. وأوضحت أنه يركّز على تحويل الأفكار إلى مبادرات قابلة للتنفيذ، بما يعزز دور الشباب في إحداث أثر مجتمعي مستدام

ويقدّم البرنامج تجربة تعليمية تطبيقية تمتد لعدة أشهر، تتيح للمشاركين العمل على تطوير مبادرات مجتمعية ضمن بيئة تعلم تفاعلية، تجمع بين المعرفة النظرية والتجربة العملية بما يعزز من أثر التعلم واستدامته
