Mothers’ Mujawarah Sessions Develop Community Issues for Public Presentation and Discussion

The mothers’ group participating in the Mujawarah for people project continues its sessions in Deir al-Balah, Gaza Strip. Participants are currently refining the issues that have emerged through previous Mujawarah sessions and identifying their priorities, in preparation for developing and presenting them to local community audiences.

This stage focuses on deepening discussions around the selected issues, exploring their social and human dimensions, and examining the experiences, relationships and perspectives associated with them. Through this process, participants are developing content grounded in their lived experiences and reflecting the issues they consider important to bring into wider community discussion.

The outcomes of this stage will inform the development of scenarios that will subsequently take different creative forms, including theatrical performances, storytelling and traditional oral storytelling (Hakawati), depending on the nature of the issues explored by the group.

In the following stages, these creative works will be presented to local community audiences, creating opportunities for dialogue, reflection and the exchange of ideas. Community members will be invited to discuss the issues presented and propose possible responses, with these proposals subsequently developed into community-led initiatives and practical activities.

This process forms part of Mujawarah for people, a project that seeks to strengthen community participation through dialogue and the arts, creating spaces where people can identify and express their concerns and collectively develop responses to the issues affecting their lives.

تواصل مجموعة الأمهات في م”مجاورة للناس” لقاءاتها في دير البلح بقطاع غزة، حيث تعمل المشاركات على بلورة القضايا التي تشكلت خلال المجاورات السابقة، وتحديد أولوياتها تمهيداً لتطويرها وتقديمها أمام جمهور من المجتمع المحلي

تركز هذه المرحلة على تعميق النقاش حول القضايا المختارة، واستكشاف أبعادها الاجتماعية والإنسانية، وتحليل المواقف والعلاقات المرتبطة بها، بما يتيح للمشاركات تطوير مضامين تستند إلى تجاربهن ووجهات نظرهن، وتعكس القضايا التي يرين أهمية طرحها للنقاش المجتمعي

وستشكل مخرجات هذه المرحلة أساساً لتطوير سيناريوهات تُقدّم لاحقاً في أشكال فنية متنوعة، تشمل العروض المسرحية والسرد القصصي والحكواتي، وفقاً لطبيعة القضايا التي تتناولها المجموعة

وتتضمن المراحل اللاحقة تقديم هذه الأعمال أمام جمهور من المجتمع المحلي، وإتاحة المجال للمشاركين والمشاركات للتفاعل مع القضايا المطروحة ومناقشتها وتقديم مقترحات بشأنها، على أن يجري العمل على تطوير المقترحات المجتمعية وتحويلها إلى مبادرات وأنشطة عملية بمشاركة أفراد المجتمع

يأتي هذا المسار في إطار مشروع “مجاورة للناس”، الذي يسعى إلى تعزيز المشاركة المجتمعية من خلال الحوار والفنون، وإتاحة مساحات يساهم فيها الناس في تحديد قضاياهم والتعبير عنها وتطوير استجابات جماعية لها
