Mujawarah Joins the Membership of the Fund for International Cooperative Development and Participates in the AGM
We are proud at Mujawarah for Life and Development to have joined the membership of the Fund for International Cooperative Development, and to have participated in the recent Annual General Meeting (AGM) a meaningful milestone in our journey.
Our participation also provided a valuable opportunity to actively practise democratic engagement, through voting on a number of key decisions shaping the fund’s direction for the coming phase. This reflects the core cooperative values of transparency and shared participation.
This step aligns closely with our vision of strengthening cooperative action as a practical pathway towards more just and resilient communities, particularly in times of crisis, and with our belief in the power of solidarity and cross-border collaboration.
Through our programmes, particularly Cooperatives for People, we work to empower individuals and communities by supporting and strengthening cooperatives, and by reinforcing their role in fostering social cohesion and enhancing people’s ability to remain resilient within their communities, while creating meaningful opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.
Although Mujawarah is a relatively young organisation, it builds on the team’s accumulated practical experience in community development, especially in crisis and challenging contexts. This positions us to contribute meaningfully within this global solidarity space.
Joining this fund represents an important opportunity to deepen collaboration, expand our impact, and contribute to building initiatives grounded in trust and solidarity.
We look ahead with confidence to the next phase, and to playing an active role within a global network that believes cooperation is key to a more just and sustainable future.
